As we started the year, so we close it with the success of Polish talents on the international stage! This time we have good news from the capital of Latvia. On 06.-09.12.2024, another edition of the International Vocal Festival "Riga Symphony" took place in Riga, where the SSCE Agency, this year for the last time, presented Polish talents. The festival took place in the beautiful halls of "Kultūras pils Ziemeļblāzma" and "VEF Kultūras pils" in Riga and gathered participants from 18 countries around the world. Poland was represented by 3 people who competed in various genre categories. As always, the performances of our talents had a high vocal and artistic level, which was appreciated by the members of the international jury. Here are the results: Duo Alicja Kłosińska & Daniel Siroń - 2nd place; Kinga Linkiewicz - 1st place; Alicja Kłosińska - 1st place and Grand Prix. We are very happy and congratulate everyone on such excellent results.We would like to mention that the artistic director of SSCE Sar Sargsyan was also a member of the international jury of the Competition in Riga, and during the ceremonial Gala Concert of the Festival he performed as a Special Guest.The Festival is organized by the “EUROPEAN CENTRE OF MUSIC FOR YOUTH“ (President Ms. Jelena Loreina Svilpe). We are thrilled to announce that Irena Santor, one of the biggest stars of Polish popular song, has decided to give her name to the international “Vistula Sounds” festival in Ciechocinek. The artist made her decision after she participated in this year’s edition of the festival as a guest of honour.

The name granting ceremony was held on November 25, 2024 at the Ciechocinek City Hall, and was attended by the artist, the festival directors, as well as the mayor of Ciechocinek, and other guests. As a result, as of the 4th edition of the festival, the event will be called the Irena Santor “Vistula Sounds” International Festival. The 2025 edition of the festival has been scheduled for the week of August 12-16, 2025.

Artistic Director of Sar Sargsyan Cultural Entertainment Artistic Agency Sar Sargsyan was in Bulgaria from 19 to 24 September 2024. His stay there was of a varied nature. Firstly, from 19 to 21 September he was a jury at the International Music Festival "Sofia Grand Prix" in the capital of the country, organized by our Partner in Bulgaria, the Artistic Agency "Festival Music Agency Artvoices". During the Gala Concert of the Festival, Sar presented official invitations to our "Vistula Sounds" Festival in 2025, which in his opinion were received by the most interesting artists from different countries of the world. On September 22, he performed as a guest at a concert in Plovdiv, organized by the Armenian Church in Bulgaria dedicated to the independence of Bulgaria and Armenia. Then Sar performed in Sofia as part of the "Oktoberfest" Festival with a solo recital.

 The 3rd Vistula Sounds International Vocal Festival & Competition was held on 13-17 August 2024 in Ciechocinek. This unique event combines high-quality musical entertainment, stage and vocal performance education, as well as intercultural education coupled with sightseeing focused on the promotion of the city of Ciechocinek, the region of Kuyavia and Pomerania, and Poland among the younger generations of Poles and foreign guests.

On the 5th day of the Festival, on August 17, 2024, a ceremonial Gala Concert took place in the "Park Zdrojowy", summarizing the competitions of participants in the International and Polish Song Contests. A total of 2 Grand Prix awards, 3 Special Awards and Honorable Mentions were awarded. In addition, the Festival included 2 competitions, 3 concerts, 3 guided day trips promoting Ciechocinek, Toruń and Bydgoszcz, 2 cultural exchange meetings, and 2 vocal workshops led by international jury. The competitions were attended by 135 participants from 18 countries, including India, Vietnam, Armenia, Libya and Brazil. 155 competition performances were assessed by an international jury consisting of 13 people from 8 countries. The Opening Ceremony on 13.08.2024 at the Summer Theatre was dedicated to the First Lady of Polish Song, Ms. Irena Santor, who was the Honorary Guest of Vistula Sounds for 5 days. The Artist's 90th anniversary had a unique character, because during this concert, songs from the Jubilarian's repertoire were performed in new arrangements by Polish and foreign stars, singing songs translated into foreign languages ​​and in Polish. More information: Vistula Sounds 

We are happy to share the recent successes of the Polish talents presented by the SSCE Agency on international stages.

This year, for the first time, Poland was represented at the "Chuva de Estrelas D'Ouro” International Vocal Competition in Portugal. Last year, the Vistula Sounds GP winner, Mirek Gotfryd, was additionally awarded an official invitation to take part in the Portuguese event. The Polish singer performed extremely well, and received many enthusiastic comments from international judges and spectators. The competition took place on July 6, 2024 in Peso da Regua.

On July 7-12, 2024, another edition of the "Summer Talent League" International Music Festival took place in the Spanish resort town of Lloret de Mar; Poland was successfully represented by Alicja Kłosińska, who was awarded the 1^st prize in her age category.

SSCE’s Artistic Director, Saribek Sargsyan, was invited to be one of the judges on the international judging panels in both competitions.

The organizers of both events are partners of our Agency.

The documentary “Anna German in the hearts of people”, directed by the accomplished Polish documentalist and director, Jadwiga Nowakowska, was premiered on Polish Television on 25 December 2023. Next to the legendary figures of the Polish singing scene, the movie presents some of the lesser known facts from the life of the “White Angel of Polish Song.” Among others, Sar Sargsyan had the honour to pay tribute and show gratitude to the artist whom he holds dear and refers as his Guardian Angel – someone who inspired and guided him along the artistic and private routes: first international concert tour, first Grand Prix, second home (Poland), and many others... A big thank you to Jadwiga Nowakowska for the invitation to be part of this wonderful project.  Please visit the following link to view the entire movie: https://vod.tvp.pl/fil.../anna-german-w-sercach-ludzi,999558

Thanks to SSCE Poland was represented by 3 contestants who competed in different age and genre categories. The International Sofia Grand Prix Music Festival was held on 15-17 September 2023 in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The event was organized by our Bulgarian partner, the Artvoices Festival Music Agency (Rossi Yordanova). As before, the Polish delegation to the competition was presented by the Artistic Director of SSCE, Saribek Sargsyan, who was also invited to act as one of the judges. Poland was represented by Alicja Kłosińska who gave beautiful performances and came in first in the “Musical” and “World Hit” categories. Congratulations! We wish you continued success. During the Gala Concert Saribek Sargsyan gave a performance as a special guest.

Over 5 days Ciechocinek in Poland became the international capital of music – all thanks to the Vistula Sounds. The “2^nd Vistula Sounds International Vocal Festival and Competition Ciechocinek. Kuyavia-Pomerania 2023" attracted over 100 soloists and ensembles from 17 countries such as Vietnam, Libya, Cuba, Armenia, and Israel, but also many European countries, including singers from Poland. It was an extraordinary, musical feast with two singing competitions during which the international judges listened to over 150 In addition, three concerts were held, three trips were organized to promote Ciechocinek and the Kuyavian and Pomeranian region, two international cultural exchange meetings were organized, as well as singing workshops conducted by international judges. The festival closed with the Gala Concert during which the Grand Prix winners were announced: Polina Pisartsova from Ukraine in the Polish Song Competition and Mirek Gotfryd from Poland in the International Song Competition. Special prizes were also awarded, including to the vocal ensemble "Vaja" from Lithuania which received the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Voivode’s prize, Emma Hoang from Vietnam who received the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal’s prize, as well as Stefani Slavcheva from Bulgaria who won the prize awarded by the Mayor of Ciechocinek.
